Police know "suicide by cop" is real. So why aren't police chiefs declaring it a suicide-prevention emergency?

Because then we'd measure what happened BEFORE the trigger was pulled: who responded, who escalated, who de-escalated, and why an armed cop became the treatment for a mental-health crisis.

The CMA could have built medicine around prevention, longitudinal data and measurable outcomes. Police chiefs could build policing around reducing harm, racial profiling and criminalization.

They have the capacity. They choose the architecture.

White supremacy doesn't require everyone to be a white supremacist. It requires institutions that keep reproducing it.
