Fine. Now open the books. Trace the land. Trace the jurisdiction. Trace the money. Trace the policing. Trace child welfare. Trace healthcare. Trace the courts. Trace who possesses decision-making authority.
Otherwise acknowledgment becomes a ritual through which a colonial institution acknowledges colonialism before continuing business as usual.
