The NDP has turned identity politics into an organizational technology.

Each identity becomes a political franchise: Indigenous, Black, immigrant, Jewish anti-Zionist, etc. Representation becomes authenticity. Authenticity becomes authority. Authority becomes jurisdiction over who is allowed to speak.

Then watch where that jurisdiction gets deployed.

Leah Gazan takes the language of Indigenous resistance to appropriation and aims it sideways at Yves Engler, an independent anti-imperialist to her left, for circulating coalition material featuring an Indigenous participant in that very coalition.

That's the function.

The Liberal-Conservative duopoly administers the state. The NDP administers a section of the opposition. It gets an enormous rhetorical budget to sound radical because controlled opposition does not require controlled speech.

It requires controlled position.

And when somebody refuses the franchise and organizes independently outside the perimeter, suddenly the identity cards come out and the policing begins.

Identity → authenticity → authority → jurisdiction → perimeter control.

That's not liberation politics.

That's dissent management wearing its clothes. 🏴
