CBC needs to start informing Canadians about what the hell is being built around them.
Saskatchewan creates its own marshal service. Alberta expands its own enforcement machinery. Ontario builds massive data infrastructure. Governments accumulate policing, surveillance and computational capacity while the public gets fragments instead of the whole picture.
Connect the fucking dots.
If CBC keeps treating each development as an isolated press release instead of investigating who authorized this infrastructure, who profits, who controls the data, and what it is ultimately for, CBC isn't holding power accountable. It's helping keep the lid on it.
Start reporting before you go down the drain with the institutions you were supposed to investigate.
