Mass media works best when the message is simple. Around a 10 to 12 year old reading level.
That is not about respect. It is about reach.
Donald Trump used this approach very well. People mocked it, but it worked. He became president, twice.
The method is clear:
Short sentences
Simple words
Clear ideas
Easy to repeat
Over the past decade, more leaders (charlatans) have leaned into this.
Not because they lack depth, but because simple messages travel farther.

90–100 → Grade 5 → ultra simple → viral-ready 🚀

60–70 → Grade 8–9 → borderline uptake ⚠️
50–60 → High school → sharp drop-off 📉
<50 → technical/elite → dead on arrival 💀
System reality:
Mass media sweet spot → 70–90 🎯
Political messaging → 80+ 🗳️
